What I Do

In-Depth Research

I don’t stop at articles that talk about the study. I find the original study the article talks about, interpret the results, and provide accurate information for readers.

Relatable Writing

All the statistics in the world don’t mean a thing if no one understands them. I take complex topics and make them simple, digestible, and actionable.

On Time Delivery

If you have a deadline, so do I. I’m a stickler for content delivered when you need it.

Keyword Research

I’m adept and experienced at both researching and incorporating keywords and using SEO best practices. No keyword stuffing!

Original photos

I use a Canon T7i to provide original photos for product reviews and articles.

Virtual Assistant

Get newsletter, social media management, and content upgrades off your plate.

If you’ve got a small website, I also offer web management and design.

Testimonials

I edited Stacey’s work for a little less than 6 months while she was at Amerisleep, and I always appreciated her consistency. She always accepted feedback and edits quickly and her turnover was stellar. Stacey would often ask for her articles ahead of time so she could get a headstart. I never had to tell her to same feedback more than a couple of times, because she internalized it and applied it to all of her writing. Stacey was easy to work with and I would 100% recommend her for any freelance writing projects in the future.

McKenzie Hyde

Editor and Content Writer, Amerisleep

Stacey is a talented writer and a hard worker who contributed many fantastic articles to BestReviews while under my editorial supervision. I knew I could always count on Stacey to turn in timely, well-written pieces that fit our voice and style guidelines. She embodies professionalism and dependability, and I highly recommend her and her work.

Melissa Nott

Editor, Best Reviews

Stacey was one of the best writers on my team. No matter what volume of work I needed or how little direction I gave her, she consistently produced well-researched, informative articles in an engaging, easy to read style. As a freelancer, she was always quick to respond to questions, flexible with my schedule, and willing to take on challenging topics. She’s been a delight to work with.

About Me

I’m a Seattle-based (actually Buckley, but it’s nothing but a beautiful bend in the road and Seattle is close by) freelance health and fitness writer. The health and fitness niche fits perfectly into my background (a former high school and college athlete) and BA in Communication from the University of Puget Sound.

I became a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2021. The human body is amazing and personal training allows me to continually increase my knowledge while improving the health of myself and others.

My current and past clients have included well known brands, like Sports Illustrated, Popular Science, Greatist.com, TheSpruce/TheSpruceEats, Psych Central, and BobVila.com. However, I’ve worked with entrepreneurs, bloggers, authors, and small companies to create engaging content that effectively spreads their messages and brings customers to their products.

My work goes beyond health and fitness and into virtual assisting, web management, and web design. I’ve also  co-authored an inspirational memoir, Unshattered: Overcoming Tragedy and Choosing a Beautiful Life with Carol J. Decker
